A Close One !

The Cutters drew on all of their skill and experience to win by one run tonight in the 8.10pm game against "Middle Stump".

The only team that had triumphed over The Cutters this season ,M S batted first and made a very competitive 79.
The Cutters bowled and fielded well but Middle Stump batted sensibly and with a plan.

Perry and Hill opened the innings and made 26 to start the ball rolling ,The father and son Vlastuin pair added 25 ,leaving the pair of So and Donaldson the daunting task of accumulating 29 runs for victory.

A polished confident performance was what was called for and was exactly what was delivered.

Carlos and Paul batted brilliantly and Paul had the luxury of being able to allow the last two balls of the match to pass through to the keeper.

A great performance by all who played !

Ain't it the truth !

Celebrated Cutters gloveman ,Phil Rock , relaxing after a masterful performance last night .

The Cutters prevailed against an undermanned "Merkins" ( they had only 4 ). Phil did his best to win the oft mentioned bottle of red by scoring 30 , but fell 2 short. His domination of the hapless Merkins bowlers did not go unnoticed by the man in red. Another MVP for the fridge.

Well done Mr Rock !

Three rounds in

After 3 rounds of the summer 2006-2007 season The Cutters are 2 and 1 .

The only loss of the season was on Sunday 5 November when the team found themselves undermanned ( literally ) with only 5 warriors available to take on "Middle Stump".

The stumpers were recently promoted from Div 6 and proved an efficient unit and made the most of the mismatch in numbers to record a 90ish to 70 win.

The Cutters faithful are looking to a more professional performance in Thursday's contest with traditional rivals "Merkins".

Season 16

The disappointment of Season 15 is now fading into the past and all eyes are now focussing on the upcoming Season 16 .

Some talk has been heard of possible trades but the front office of The Cutters organisation appear to be happy to stick with their existing personnel and bypass the pre-season draft .

Roll on round 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grand Final Day Wine Bottling

One of the many great traditions within The Cutters' fraternity is the bottling of some premium wines on Grand Final day at the home of our most gracious hosts' the Rock Family.

2006 was no exception as a great day was had by all those who were fortunate enough to attend .
